Body shop tea tree oil range

I received a text from Body Shop in July about their new products. I like their foaming cleanser. So I decided to go check these out.

I got this box instead. It comes with their new cool&creamy wash, squeaky clean scrub and tea tree oil.

1. Cool&Creamy wash

This wash is meant to be used in the morning. It is quite cooling on the face. What I like about this is that it doesn't leave a tight feeling on the face. What I didn't like about this is that it is not foamy. I like my soaps to be foamy! 

2. Squeaky clean scrub

I got a shock when I was told that it can be used daily. As we know, scrubs should be used 2 - 3  times a week to get rid of the dead skin. I asked the lady 'won't scrubbing daily cause the skin to get damaged?' She said that the bits are quite mild thus making it suitable for daily use. This is to be used at night. One of the best scrubs i have used!

Use a moisturizer after the scrub to help skin replenish moisture! 

3. Tea tree oil

This product is sold once every 10 seconds! This is meant to applied to the scars. 

This oil is quite good. I used it at night. The next day, I felt that the redness had faded! If you have acne on your skin, this is your to-go-to! 

Overall, i felt that the products were not bad.. i liked the scrub and tea tree oil best.

July Bellabox

July bellabox! I am sure you can guess what the theme is about!

The goodies!!

 This is the Organix Shampoo and conditioner. The one i got was the moroccan argan oil range. it is meant to strengthen, restore shine and softness! This range is not bad. it has a nice smell. However i felt that it is not so suitable for my hair.

 this is the balm's cosmetics mary-lou manizer highlighter/shadow/ shimmer. so pretty!! its so pigmented! i tried using it as s shadow and highlighter. i think it works best as an highlighter! too prettyy!!!

 this is the sage + francis eau de parfum. this is a concoction of florals and fruits. I am more into floral scents and tend to avoid fruity scents. but this one is not bad. :)

clark's botanical deep moisture mask! totally love this product. it left my skin feeling hydrated and nourished. i was confident enough to leave my house with zero makeup on!

June Bellabox

Hello Everyone!! Finally having some time to do June Bellabox review!

So here is a picture of the box! Wanderlust theme! June was all about vacations! Except that I didn't have the time to go for one! But I'm going to make up for it! Hehe!

So lets get down to the products!
As usual, the box comes with a card that provides us with necessary information!

This is a guide for getting around in Bali.. Even Bellabox knows its one of my favorite places eh!

This is the VMV Hypoallergenics ID Monolaurin Gel. Use this mattifier on facial skin for acne and shine control. This can also be applied to areas prone to sweat or acne like chest, back and arms to treat and prevent blemishes from forming. Allow can be used as hand and feet anti-fungal, disinfectant sanitizer.

I like how this is not a greasy/oily kind of gel. When I applied it on my face, it felt really cooling! It helped in controlling the shine on my face! Especially in this heat!!

This is the VMV Hypoallergenics Re-Everything Face Hand Body Lotion!
Phew! What a lengthy one! This promises intense moisture in a light cream that also offers heightened cell renewal and gentle microdermabrasion to remove dead skin cells!

This item is LOVE! This really helped in keeping my face moisturized! Even when I had a breakout, it helped in clearing ASAP! Overall, I'm happy seeing the results of my skin! :)

This is the BOMB cosmetics shower gel. The one I got had a mix of scents I couldn't figure! But....it sure smelled soooooo nice! As the shower gel is olive oil based, you can be assured that your skin is well moisturized!

This is the Skin Pharmacy Silky Smooth Sunscreen. Ok I'll admit. I don't really use sunscreen. Why? Cause I hate how my skin feels icky/oily after applying them! But! This is really awesome! It almost dissolves into your skin.. So now you can apply sunscreen liberally without feeling like you are wearing any!

This is the Creed perfume! It's a light spring scent.. I felt that the top notes came off strong and by the time it came to the end notes, the scent came out quite light.

So the bonus item for this month! Loreal Paris Extraordinary Oil!
I was so excited to receive this! It was something I had been wanting to try! It claims to be a miracle oil that can be used to protect, nourish and shine touch up our hair without weighing our hair down! I couldn't wait to try it! I must say that this product really works! It made my hair look more manageable and smooth! What I really love is that, it does not leave a greasy feeling! Yes I think you can know by now how much I dislike greasy/oily creams!!

I got the veet hair removal cream which I never used. I find creams rather messy and I prefer waxing instead.

Home Spa for your brushes

Hygiene is  the first step to anything. We must have the discipline to do some minor cleansing of our brushes daily. The biggest discipline comes for once a week thorough cleaning!

Clean brushes help in preventing breakouts. however, some cleansers cause our brushes to go out of shape, drop its hair!

I read about this home spa from other blogs and i had to try it out! I am extremely pleased with the results.

What you need:

1. any baby shampoo 
2. any kind of olive oil

3. antiseptic hand soap 
4. a plate

Steps:

1. pour equal amt of baby shampoo and handsoap on your plate.
2. just pour a little olive oil on the side.
3. dip your brush in the baby shampoo, then into the hand soap.
4. dip just a small part of your brush into the olive oil.
5. take the brush and rub it against your palm.
6. rinse thoroughly.
7. repeat steps for all your brushes.
8. set the brushes to dry!

Why use these items?

Baby shampoo is not too harsh on our brushes. it helps in not spoiling the hairs of our brushes. Antiseptic handsoap is used to counter the absence of sanitization in shampoo. olive oil is used to condition the hairs of the brushes!
